Mushroom Turnovers
Ingredients
- 12 lb fresh mushrooms finely chopped
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 12 c chopped onion
- 12 tsp salt
- dash of pepper
- dash of ground nutmeg
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp flour
- 12 c sour cream
- 1 tsp dill weed
- 1 recipe Cream Cheese Pastry
Directions
- Saute mushrooms in butter with the onion until limp
- Add salt pepper nutmeg and lemon juice
- Blend in flour until smooth and slightly thickened
- Stir in sour cream and dill weed
- Cool filling
- Place small amount of filling scant teaspoon on one side of 2-inch pastry round
- Fold over and crimp edges with fork tines
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes in a 350
- oven
- These freeze well before baking
