Ingredients

  • 2 c finely grated green cabbage I chop mine in the food processor
  • 14 c vinegar
  • 14 c sugar
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Stir vinegar and sugar into finely grated or chopped cabbage
  2. Then use your hands to squeeze the mixture over and over for about 2 minutes
  3. The bruising of the cabbage allows it to absorb the vinegar mixture
  4. Refrigerate overnight
