My MotherS Eggnog

Ingredients

  • 13 large eggs at room temperature
  • 34 c granulated sugar
  • 1 12 c brandy rum or bourbon
  • 2 c whipping cream whipped
  • freshly ground nutmeg

Directions

  1. Separate eggs
  2. Place in 2 large mixing bowls
  3. Add 6 tablespoons of sugar to each bowl
  4. Beat egg yolks and sugar until thick and deep yellow in color
  5. Add brandy rum or bourbon stir well
