Navajo Fry Bread
Ingredients
- 1 c white flour
- 12 c whole wheat flour
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 12 tsp baking powder
- 14 tsp salt
- 12 c honey
- vegetable oil for frying
Directions
- Mix dry ingredients and add waterenough a little at a time till you have a stiff dough mix well
- Knead dough on a floured board till it becomes elastic
- Let dough rise 10 minutes covered
- Roll out dough till it is 12 inches thick
- Cut into squares or circles
- Deep fry at 370 till golden brown
- Drain on paper towels and drizzle with honey
