Navy Bean Soup

Ingredients
- 3 to 4 c navy beans
- ham bone
- 6 c boiling water
- 1 bay leaf
- 3 peppercorns
- 3 whole cloves
- 1 carrot diced
- 2 stalks diced celery with leaves
Directions
- Soak beans overnight
- Boil ham bone water bay leaf peppercorns and cloves
- Add beans boil 2 12 to 3 hours
- Last half hour add the rest of ingredients
- Add salt and pepper to taste
- Makes 6 cups
