Nesselrood Pudding

Ingredients

  • whipping cream
  • powdered sugar to suit your taste
  • 12 tsp vanilla
  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 13 c slivered almonds
  • 12 c maraschino cherries quartered
  • 12 c Grape-Nuts

Directions

  1. Whip enough whipping cream to make 1 cup
  2. Sweeten with powdered sugar to suit your taste
  3. Add vanilla
  4. Beat eggs until foamy
  5. Add sugar gradually and beat until stiff
  6. Toast almonds Put almonds Grape-Nuts and 1 tablespoon cherry juice in large mixing bowl
  7. Add whipped cream
  8. Blend together
  9. Fold in egg whites last
  10. Pour all into desired serving bowl or flat pan and freeze
