Never Fail Meringue
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 2 Tbsp cornstarch
- 12 Tbsp vanilla
- 3 egg whites
- 18 Tbsp salt
- 4 Tbsp sugar
Directions
- Combine 2 teaspoons sugar and 1 tablespoon cornstarch in saucepan
- Add 12 cup water
- Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until thick and clear
- Cool
- Beat egg whites with salt and vanilla until soft peaks form
- Add 4 tablespoons sugar after adding cornstarch mixture
- Beat until it stands in stiff peaks
- Spread on pie
- Bake for 10 minutes at 350
