Never Fail Meringue

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 12 c water
  • 6 Tbsp sugar
  • 3 egg whites

Directions

  1. Mix cornstarch sugar and water in saucepan
  2. Cook until thick and clear
  3. Cool slightly
  4. Beat egg whites with mixer until frothy
  5. Continue beating while pouring in cornstarch mixture Beat 5 minutes
  6. Bake at 450 for 5 to 6 minutes until golden brown
