New Orleans Pecan Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs separated or 3 eggs for a bigger pie
  • 1 8 oz sour cream
  • 1 c granulated sugar
  • 14 c flour
  • 12 tsp vanilla
  • 14 tsp salt
  • 1 9-inch baked pie crust
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 1 c chopped pecan

Directions

  1. In saucepan combine egg yolks sour cream granulated sugar flour vanilla and salt
  2. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened about 5 to 10 minutes
  3. Pour into baked pie shell Set aside
