No Brown Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 3 lb ground chuck
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 potato grated
  • 1 egg
  • 12 tsp garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 qt ginger ale
  • 1 regular size bottle catsup

Directions

  1. Bring to a boil ginger ale and catsup
  2. Pack and roll meat mixture into firm balls
  3. Add to boiling mixture
  4. Cook about 3 hours
  5. Chill and remove fat from top reheat
  6. This makes a good dish to freeze or prepare ahead
  7. Serve with noodles or pasta
