No Salt Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 envelope dry yeast
  • 1 12 c warm water
  • 2 Tbsp soft shortening
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 3 c flour

Directions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water
  2. Add shortening sugar and 1 12 cups flour
  3. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed
  4. Gradually add by hand rest of flour
  5. Makes a soft batter
  6. Let rise about 30 minutes
  7. Punch down
  8. Beat 25 strokes
  9. Knead lightly
  10. Spread in greased pan let rise again
  11. Bake at 375 for 1 hour
  12. Makes 1 loaf
