NormanS Chopped Liver

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh chicken livers cut into small pieces
  • 2 white onions finely diced
  • 13 c fresh chicken fat found in frozen food area
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs

Directions

  1. Saute chicken livers and 12 onions in heavy frying pan until onions are golden brown and livers have turned light brown
  2. Put them into a chopping bowl
  3. Add salt pepper and the rest of raw onion
  4. Chop together until coarse and blended or put through a food grinder
  5. Do not puree
  6. Add chopped eggs
  7. Refrigerate and serve with crackers or rye bread
