NormanS Chopped Liver
Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh chicken livers cut into small pieces
- 2 white onions finely diced
- 13 c fresh chicken fat found in frozen food area
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 hard-boiled eggs
Directions
- Saute chicken livers and 12 onions in heavy frying pan until onions are golden brown and livers have turned light brown
- Put them into a chopping bowl
- Add salt pepper and the rest of raw onion
- Chop together until coarse and blended or put through a food grinder
- Do not puree
- Add chopped eggs
- Refrigerate and serve with crackers or rye bread
