Norwegian Fattigman
Ingredients
- 2 Eggs
- 3 Tbsp Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Heavy Cream
- 14 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Ground Cardamon
- 12 tsp Vanilla
- Approximately 2 c Flour
Directions
- Mix all of the ingredients using enough flour to make a soft dough
- Roll out thin and cut in strips in the shape of diamonds Make a one inch slit in the middle of each diamond
- Loop one tip of the diamond through slit to make the cookie look like a diamond with a knot in the middle
- Fry in hot lard turning once
- Drain well on paper towels
- Cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar
