Nut Cake
Ingredients
- 2 c butter softened
- 2 c sugar
- 6 eggs
- 2 12 c self-rising flour
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 c chopped pecans
- 1 c chopped black walnuts
- 1 12 c all-purpose flour
- 1 large apple peeled and chopped
Directions
- Cream butter and sugar in mixer bowl until light and fluffy Add eggs 2 at a time beating well after each addition
- Add self-rising flour mix well
- Stir in vanilla
- Combine pecans walnuts and all-purpose flour in bowl toss to coat
- Fold into batter
- Stir in apples
- Pour into ungreased tube pan
- Bake at 300 for 1 14 hours
- Cool in pan for several minutes
- Invert onto serving plate
- Yield
