Nut Cups

Ingredients

  • 2 c flour
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 6 oz cream cheese
  • 1 12 c light brown sugar
  • 2 eggs well beaten
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 Tbsp melted margarine
  • 1 12 c chopped walnuts

Directions

  1. Mix flour margarine and cream cheese and refrigerate
  2. Mix brown sugar eggs vanilla salt and margarine
  3. Cook over low heat
  4. Watch closely as it burns easily
  5. Add walnuts
  6. Roll out dough 18-inch thick
  7. Cut with a scalloped cookie cutter
  8. Press into 1-inch muffin tin
  9. Drop 1 teaspoon of filling into each cup about 34 full
  10. They will swell
  11. Bake at 325 for 20 to 25 minutes
  12. Avoid overbrowning
