Oatmeal Bread
Ingredients
- 1 12 c oats
- 2 c boiling water
- 2 tsp salt
- 14 c sugar
- 1 pkg dry yeast
- 14 c lukewarm water
- 4 12 to 5 c wheat flour
Directions
- Pour boiling water over oats sugar and salt
- Let stand until lukewarm
- Dissolve yeast in 14 cup warm water and add to oats mixture
- Beat in flour knead until smooth
- Let double in bulk Shape in 2 loaves and place in greased pans
- Let double again Bake at 350 for 45 to 60 minutes
- Brush tops with butter or margarine
