Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cake

Ingredients

• 1 34 c boiling water
• 1 c quick cooking oats
• 1 c sugar
• 1 c loosely packed brown sugar
• 1 stick soft butter
• 2 large eggs
• 1 34 c flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1 Tbsp cocoa
• 12 oz chocolate chips
• 34 c walnuts
• 1 tsp salt

Directions

1. Pour boiling water over oats let stand for 10 minutes
2. Stir in sugar brown sugar butter and eggs
3. Sift and mix flour baking soda salt cocoa and 6 ounces chocolate chips into oat mixture
4. Pour into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan or Bundt pan Spread remaining chocolate chips and nuts on top
5. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes
