Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cake
Ingredients
- 1 34 c boiling water
- 1 c quick cooking oats
- 1 c sugar
- 1 c loosely packed brown sugar
- 1 stick soft butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 34 c flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 Tbsp cocoa
- 12 oz chocolate chips
- 34 c walnuts
- 1 tsp salt
Directions
- Pour boiling water over oats let stand for 10 minutes
- Stir in sugar brown sugar butter and eggs
- Sift and mix flour baking soda salt cocoa and 6 ounces chocolate chips into oat mixture
- Pour into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan or Bundt pan Spread remaining chocolate chips and nuts on top
- Bake at 350 for 40 minutes
