Oatmeal Chocolate Chips Cake

Ingredients

• 1 34 c boiling water
• 1 c uncooked oatmeal
• 1 c lightly packed brown sugar
• 1 c sugar
• 1 stick margarine
• 34 c unsifted flour
• 1 tsp soda
• 12 tsp salt
• 1 Tbsp cocoa
• 1 pkg chocolate chips 12 oz
• 34 c walnuts

Directions

1. Pour water over oatmeal and let stand 10 minutes
2. Add sugar and margarine
3. Add eggs and mix well
4. Sift flour soda salt and cocoa
5. Add to mix
6. Add half package of chocolate chips
7. Put batter in pan or muffin pans
8. Sprinkle top of batter with remaining chips and chopped nuts
9. No frosting is needed
10. Bake 30 to 35 minutes at 350
