Oatmeal Scotchies
Ingredients
- 1 c all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 c butter softened
- 34 c packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 12 oz pkg butterscotch flavored morsels
- 12 tsp salt
- 12 tsp cinnamon
- 34 c sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 c oats uncooked quick or old-fashion
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375
- In small bowl combine flour baking soda salt and cinnamon set aside
- In a large bowl combine butter sugar brown sugar eggs and vanilla extract beat until creamy
- Gradually add flour mixture
- Stir in oats and butterscotch morsels
- Drop by level measuring tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets
- Bake 7 to 8 minutes for chewier cookies or 9 to 10 minutes for crisper cookies
- Makes about 4 dozen 3-inch cookies
