Oklahoma Chili
Ingredients
- 2 lb ground beefchuck
- 1 c diced bacon fried unti crisp
- 1 12 c chopped onion
- 1 12 c chopped bell pepper
- 2 cans dark red kidney beans
- 3 cans pinto beans
- 1 small can green chilies
- 12 can beer any type
- 1 Tbsp cumin
- 2 Tbsp paprika
- 1 28 oz can whole tomatoes
- 1 c tomato catsup
- 2 c water
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 12 Tbsp chili powder
- 5 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 jalapeno or cayenne pepper optional
Directions
- Brown ground beef and add onion and pepper
- Cook until onion is clear
- Stir in cumin and paprika
- Cook 5 more minutes
- In large pot combine rest of ingredients except brown sugar
- Add beef mixture
- Bring to boil turn down to simmer 1 hour stirring occasionally
- Add brown sugar and simmer 10 more minutes
