Okra Fingers

Ingredients
- 20 small fresh okra pods
- 1 c buttermilk
- 34 c all-purpose flour
- 14 c cornmeal
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 12 tsp salt
- dash of pepper
- corn oil
Directions
- Wash okra trim and drain
- Place in shallow dish
- Pour buttermilk over okra set aside
- Combine next 5 ingredients mixing well
- Remove okra from buttermilk and carefully roll in cornmeal mixture
- Drop into hot oil 375
- Fry 3 to 5 minutes turning and browning on all sides
- Drain on paper towels
