Old-Fashioned Banana-Pineapple Cake
Ingredients
- 3 c cake flour
- 2 c sugar
- 1 c chopped walnuts optional
- 1 12 c mashed ripe bananas
- 34 c vegetable oil
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 eggs
- 1 8 oz can crushed pineapple undrained
Directions
- Heat oven to 350
- Grease and flour 2 round 9-inch pans or 1 13 x 9-inch pan
- Beat all ingredients in a large bowl on medium speed for 2 minutes
- Scrape bowl occasionally
- Pour into pans and bake 35 to 40 minutes or until wooden toothpick inserted comes out clean
- Cool 10 minutes and remove from pans
- Cool completely
- Frost cake
