Old-Fashioned Custard Pie
Ingredients
- 3 large eggs or 6 yolks
- 12 c sugar
- 12 tsp salt
- 14 tsp nutmeg if desired
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 23 c milk
Directions
- Beat lightly pour into 9-inch unbaked crust
- Bake for about 40 minutes or until knife inserted into side of filling comes out clean
- Center is soft but will set later
- Bake in 450 oven for 15 minutes then at 350 to finish
