Old-Fashioned Tea CakesQuick And Easy Version
Ingredients
- 1 34 c sugar
- 2 sticks margarine
- 2 eggs slightly beaten
- 34 c oil
- 4 c Gold Medal all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
Directions
- Cream sugar and margarine until light and fluffy
- Add eggs and beat well
- Add remaining ingredients and mix well
- Drop dough about the size of a walnut onto ungreased cookie sheet
- Press flat with the bottom of a glass that has been coated with sugar Dampen bottom of a glass so sugar will stick to it better
- If you use a glass that has a design on the bottom your cookies will have a pretty design on them
- Bake at 350 for 10 to 11 minutes or until lightly brown
