Old-Time German Potato Salad
Ingredients
- 3 lb salad potatoes
- 1 lb bacon
- 4 Tbsp butter
- 1 c chopped onions
- 6 Tbsp flour
- 1 12 c water
- 1 12 c vinegar
- 2 c sugar
Directions
- Cook potatoes cool peel and slice
- Fry bacon until golden brown
- Take bacon out of pan add butter to bacon grease
- Stir in flour until smooth
- Mix vinegar and water together in a bowl then slowly add to flour mixture
- Add sugar stirring all the time
- Pour over potatoes with chopped onions and crumbled bacon Stir gently until all mixed together
- Serve
