Old English Cheese Crock

Ingredients

  • 1 3 oz pkg cream cheese softened
  • 14 c Port wine
  • 2 tsp Dijon-style mustard
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 8 oz shredded sharp Cheddar cheese 2 c lightly packed
  • 12 c toasted chopped almonds
  • toasted slivered almonds

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl beat cream cheese Port wine mustard and basil until thoroughly blended
  2. Mix in Cheddar cheese and chopped almonds
  3. Beat to blend thoroughly pack in crock or small bowls Cover and refrigerate 24 hours before serving
