Old Fashion Tea Cakes

Ingredients

• 12 c butter
• 1 egg
• 1 c sugar
• 1 tsp soda
• 5 Tbsp buttermilk
• 1 tsp vanilla flavoring
• flour

Directions

1. Cream butter and sugar add egg
2. Combine soda and flavoring to milk
3. Add this to butter sugar and egg mixture
4. Add enough flour to make a stiff dough
5. Roll as thin as possible
6. Cut cookies with round cookie cutter
7. Bake at 350 to 375 until lightly browned
