Old Fashioned Health Muffins

Ingredients

  • 2 c all-purpose flour
  • 2 c whole wheat flour
  • 34 c shortening margarine
  • 14 tsp salt
  • 12 tsp baking soda
  • 12 c milk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 c raisins
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 c molasses
  • 1 egg

Directions

  1. Beat together shortening and sugar
  2. Add egg Add dry ingredients milk and molasses
  3. Mix well and add raisins
  4. Drop batter into muffin pans that have been sprayed with Pam
  5. Bake at 400 for 18 to 20 minutes
