Old Fashioned Mince Pie

Ingredients

  • pastry for two crust pie
  • 3 c mincemeat 28 to 30 oz jar
  • 1 12 c chopped apple
  • whipped cream

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 425
  2. Mix mincemeat and apple
  3. Pour into pastry lined pie pan
  4. Cover with top crust which has slits in it
  5. Seal and flute
  6. Cover edge with 1 12-inch strip of aluminum foil to prevent excess browning
  7. Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until crust is nicely browned
  8. Serve slightly warm with whipped cream on top
