Old Fashioned Mince Pie

Ingredients
- pastry for two crust pie
- 3 c mincemeat 28 to 30 oz jar
- 1 12 c chopped apple
- whipped cream
Directions
- Heat oven to 425
- Mix mincemeat and apple
- Pour into pastry lined pie pan
- Cover with top crust which has slits in it
- Seal and flute
- Cover edge with 1 12-inch strip of aluminum foil to prevent excess browning
- Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until crust is nicely browned
- Serve slightly warm with whipped cream on top
