Ole Timey Tea Cakes

Ingredients
- 3 c plain flour
- 1 c white sugar
- 1 c shortening
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 14 tsp salt
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 egg
- 12 c sweet milk
Directions
- Put all ingredients in a mixing bowl as listed
- Mix with a wooden spoon
- Roll out on floured board thin
- Cut with any size cutter
- Place on a flat cookie sheet and bake 10 to 12 minutes at 400
- Bake only until tops are light brown
- Best stored in a flour
- sack or pillow case if you can keep the kids out
