OlgaS Pound Cake
Ingredients
- 2 c sugar
- 3 c cake flour
- 1 c shortening
- 1 tsp baking powder
- dash of salt
- 4 eggs
- 1 c milk
- 1 tsp vanilla or lemon rind
Directions
- In
- measuring
- cup
- break
- in eggs plus enough milk to make 1 cup In mixing bowl cream shortening with sugar
- Beat eggs with milk slightly and add to shortening and sugar
- Sift flour
- and salt together
- Add baking powder
- Add to creamed mixture
- and mix until all is well mixed at a low speed
- Then add
- 34
- cup milk
- some
- lemon
- rind or vanilla
- Mix for 2 minutes at medium speed
- Bake 1 hour at 350
