One Hour Rolls
Ingredients
- 2 pkg dry yeast
- 14 c warm water
- 1 12 c warm buttermilk
- 14 c sugar
- 12 c melted shortening
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 12 c flour
- 12 tsp baking soda
Directions
- Dissolve yeast in warm water
- Add milk sugar shortening and salt
- Stir in flour which has been sifted with soda
- Mix well Allow to stand 10 minutes
- Roll out and cut or shape as desired Allow to rise until double in bulk about 30 minutes
- Bake at 425 for 10 to 12 minutes
- Yields 24 rolls
