Onion Shortbread

Ingredients

• 2 large onions sliced thin
• 12 c 1 stick butter or margarine
• 1 8 oz container sour cream
• 12 tsp dried dill weed
• 14 tsp salt
• 8 oz 1 c Cheddar cheese grated
• 1 15 oz can creamed corn
• 13 c milk
• 1 8 12 oz pkg corn muffin mix Jiffy mix
• 4 drops hot red pepper sauce or to taste

Directions

1. Saute onion in butter
2. Stir in sour cream dill weed salt and half the Cheddar cheese 12 cup
3. In a separate bowl combine corn milk dry muffin mix egg and hot pepper sauce
4. Put corn mixture in a buttered 9 x 13-inch dish
5. Spread onion mixture over top
6. Top with remaining Cheddar cheese
7. Bake in a 425 oven for 30 to 40 minutes
8. Serves 8 to 10
