Onion Yeast Rolls
Ingredients
- 2 pkg dry yeast
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1 c warm tap water
- 13 c sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 2 c room temperature whole milk
- 3 c thawed frozen chopped onion
- 13 c oil
- 1 egg
- 5 c flour
Directions
- Dissolve yeast in 1 tablespoon sugar and warm tap water in a large measuring cup
- Meanwhile measure dry ingredients
- When yeast is dissolved add measured dry ingredients then add 5 cups flour
- Beat until smooth
- Mix in enough remaining flour 3 cups to make dough easy to handle
- Turn dough on floured surface knead until smooth
- Place in greased bowl with enough oil to coat dough
- Turn greased side up
- Cover with plastic wrap let rise until double in size
- Punch down and refrigerate
- Cover with plastic and foil
