Orange Beets

Ingredients

• 5 medium fresh beets or 1 can 1 lb sliced beets
• 1 Tbsp cornstarch
• 1 Tbsp brown sugar
• 1 tsp firmly shredded orange peel
• 14 tsp salt
• dash of pepper
• 34 c orange juice
• 1 Tbsp vinegar

Directions

1. Prepare and cook fresh

3. and
4. cut into slices
5. In small saucepan
6. stir
7. together cornstarch brown sugar orange peel salt
8. pepper
9. orange juice and vinegar
10. Cook stirring constantly until mixture
11. thickens and boils
12. Boil and stir 1 minute
13. Stir in beets heat thoroughly
