Orange Pound Cake
Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter
- 3 c sugar sifted
- 6 eggs separated
- 14 tsp baking soda
- 3 c flour sifted
- grated rind of 1 orange
- 34 c sour cream
- 14 c orange juice
Directions
- Cream butter and sugar thoroughly
- Add egg yolks one at a time
- Add orange rind
- Add baking soda to flour and sift together
- Add flour mixture alternately with sour cream and orange juice to creamed mixture
- Beat egg whites until stiff and fold in
- Pour batter in a large pan that has been floured
- Bake at 300 for 1 12 hours or until done
- Let stand 15 minutes before removing
