Orange Slice Cake

Ingredients

• 1 c margarine
• 2 c sugar
• 4 eggs
• 1 12 c buttermilk
• 4 c flour
• pinch of salt
• 1 lb dates chopped
• 1 lb orange slices chopped
• 2 tsp soda
• 4 c nuts chopped

Directions

1. In a separate large pan add chopped dates orange slices nuts salt and flour
2. Melt margarine and cream in sugar add eggs and 1 cup of buttermilk
3. Add soda to remaining 12 cup of buttermilk and add to mixture of oranges dates flour nuts and salt
4. Mix well with hands
5. Bake in tube cake pan for 3 or 4 hours at 275
