Oriental Brussels Sprouts
Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon
- 3 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 7 oz can sliced water chestnuts
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 c chicken broth
- 1 lb fresh or frozen Brussels sprouts
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- 14 c water
Directions
- Cook bacon until crisp
- Remove from pan and drain on paper towel
- Stir soy sauce into the bacon drippings
- Add chestnuts garlic and broth
- Bring to a boil and add Brussels sprouts Return to a boil cover and reduce heat cooking about 8 minutes or until sprouts are just tender
- Combine cornstarch and water and add to the pan liquid
- Cook stirring until thickened Sprinkle reserved bacon over the top to serve
- Serves 6 to 8
