Original Pecan Pralines

Ingredients
- 2 c firmly packed brown sugar
- 14 c water
- 2 12 c mixed pecan pieces and halves
- 1 Tbsp butter
Directions
- Combine sugar and water in a 2-quart saucepan
- Heat to boiling stirring constantly
- Stir in pecans
- Cook until mixture reaches soft ball stage 235
- Remove from heat
- Stir in butter Drop by teaspoons onto waxed paper
- Let stand until firm
- Yields 1 12 dozen
