Our Favorite Red Cabbage

Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp bacon drippings
- 4 c shredded red cabbage
- 3 Tbsp sugar
- 12 c water
- 12 tsp salt
- 12 tsp pepper
- 3 Tbsp tarragon vinegar
Directions
- Put drippings into skillet
- Melt
- Add cabbage sugar water salt pepper and vinegar
- Stir to blend
- Cover pan and simmer 30 minutes
- Makes 4 to 6 servings
