Oven-Barbecued Beef Brisket

Ingredients

  • 5 lb beef brisket not corned beef
  • 1 bottle Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 bottle liquid smoke
  • 1 stick margarine melted

Directions

  1. Trim brisket well
  2. Place in large deep roasting pan
  3. Heat Worcestershire sauce liquid smoke and margarine Pour over brisket
  4. Cover tightly with heavy-duty aluminum foil
  5. Cook in oven at 250 for 1 hour per pound Or cook at 425 for 12 hour then reduce heat and cook at 325 for 30 to 40 minutes per pound Meat is done when fork inserts easily
  6. Cool for 30 minutes and cut with electric knife into thin slices
