Oven-Buttered Corn Chunks

Ingredients

  • 13 c butter or margarine
  • 2 14 c sifted flour
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 14 c milk
  • 1 c cream-style corn

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a 9 x 13-inch pan
  2. Sift flour sugar baking powder and salt into a bowl
  3. Add milk and corn
  4. Stir until soft dough is formed
  5. Turn out on a well floured board or pastry cloth Knead about 15 times
  6. Roll out in a rectangle 12-inch thick
  7. Cut into 1-inch strips and then into 24 pieces
  8. Roll in the melted butter and arrange in the pan
  9. Bake at 450 for 20 to 30 minutes
