Oven-Fried Chicken

Ingredients
- 14 c shortening
- 12 c all-purpose flour
- 1 12 tsp salt
- 1 tsp paprika
- 14 tsp pepper
- 3 lb chicken parts
Directions
- Heat oven to 425
- In oven melt shortening in baking pan 13 x 9 x 2-inch
- Measure flour salt paprika and pepper into paper or plastic bag
- Shake 2 or 3 chicken pieces at a time in bag until thoroughly coated
- Place skin side down in shortening Bake uncovered 30 minutes
- Turn chicken and bake until tender 20 to 30 minutes longer
