Oven Baked Caramel Corn
Ingredients
- 10 c popped corn unsalted
- 1 c brown sugar
- 14 c white syrup
- 1 stick oleo
- 14 tsp cream of tartar
- 14 tsp baking soda
- pinch of salt
Directions
- Bring brown sugar syrup oleo and cream of tartar to a slow boil
- Stir to keep from burning
- Remove from heat and add soda and salt stir well
- Pour over popped corn and stir until well coated
- Keep warm while stirring
- Spread on cookie sheet or a deep roaster
- Bake at 200 for 1 hour
- Stir occasionally
- Cool May be put in plastic bags and frozen
- Eat directly from freezer
