Oven Barbecued Chicken Breasts
Ingredients
- 4 lg halves chicken breasts
- 12 c flour
- salt and pepper to taste
- 14 c cooking oil
- 14 c margarine
- 1 c catsup
- 12 c water
- 12 c sherry wine
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 13 c diced onions
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp margarine
- 1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
Directions
- Dredge chicken breasts in flour to which salt and pepper is added
- Heat mixture of oil and margarine in skillet
- Place chicken in the hot oil turning to a light brown
- Arrange pieces in a lightly greased baking dish
- Blend and heat all ingredients for the sauce pour over chicken
- Cover and bake 325 for about 1 12 hour or until chicken is tender
- Serves 4
