Oven Caramel Corn

Ingredients

  • 8 or 9 qt popped corn
  • 1 c oleo
  • 12 c white syrup
  • 12 tsp soda
  • 2 c brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions

  1. Boil all ingredients except corn and soda for 5 minutes mixing well and stirring
  2. Remove from heat and add soda
  3. Stir in quickly
  4. Pour over popped corn
  5. Mix well
  6. Put in 2 large flat pans and place in a 250 oven for 1 hour
  7. Be sure to stir 2 or 3 times
  8. Store in lightly closed container
