Panoche Squares

Ingredients
- 12 c butter or margarine
- 2 c brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 c flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 12 tsp salt
- 2 c chocolate chips
- 1 c nuts
Directions
- Melt butter and while hot add brown sugar
- Add eggs and vanilla beat until fluffy
- Sift together the dry ingredients and stir into mixture
- Mix in chocolate chips and nuts
- Spread evenly in a greased 13 x 9-inch pan
- Bake at 350 for 30 minutes Let cool and cut in squares
