Parmesan Bread With Red Peppers And Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 1 c sweet red pepper coarsely chopped
  • 12 medium onion coarsely chopped
  • 12 c mushrooms sliced
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 14 oz each pkg regular or fast rising yeast
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 12 c warm water 110
  • 1 egg
  • 3 to 4 c all-purpose flour
  • 14 c grated Parmesan cheese
  • 14 tsp salt
  • 18 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 18 tsp black pepper
  • milk
  • 2 Tbsp Parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. Saute vegetables in olive oil until crisp and tender
  2. Cool In a large bowl stir yeast and sugar in warm water
  3. Let stand 5 minutes
  4. Stir in egg
  5. Mix in 3 cups flour 14 cup cheese salt cayenne pepper and black pepper
  6. Mix in cooled vegetables and enough remaining flour to make a soft dough
  7. Knead dough on a floured surface until smooth and elastic about 10 minutes
