Parmesan Bread With Red Peppers And Mushrooms
Ingredients
- 1 c sweet red pepper coarsely chopped
- 12 medium onion coarsely chopped
- 12 c mushrooms sliced
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 14 oz each pkg regular or fast rising yeast
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1 12 c warm water 110
- 1 egg
- 3 to 4 c all-purpose flour
- 14 c grated Parmesan cheese
- 14 tsp salt
- 18 tsp cayenne pepper
- 18 tsp black pepper
- milk
- 2 Tbsp Parmesan cheese
Directions
- Saute vegetables in olive oil until crisp and tender
- Cool In a large bowl stir yeast and sugar in warm water
- Let stand 5 minutes
- Stir in egg
- Mix in 3 cups flour 14 cup cheese salt cayenne pepper and black pepper
- Mix in cooled vegetables and enough remaining flour to make a soft dough
- Knead dough on a floured surface until smooth and elastic about 10 minutes
