Pasta Carbonara

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. bacon
  • 1 c. mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 green pepper, cubed
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. grated cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh parsley
  • 1 lb. spaghetti

Directions

  1. Take 1 pound of bacon and cut into cubes; brown.
  2. Add 1 cup sliced mushrooms, garlic and green pepper; saute with bacon.
  3. Set aside and save fat in pan.
  4. In a spaghetti bowl, beat 2 eggs.
  5. Add parsley and grated cheese.
  6. Cook 1 pound of spaghetti.
  7. Save 1/2 cup of water.
  8. Fold spaghetti into egg mixture.
  9. Let set 3 minutes.
  10. Add 1/2 cup of boiling water; mix well.
  11. Heat first mixture of bacon and vegetables; pour over spaghetti.
