Pavlova
Ingredients
- 4 egg whites at room temperature
- 12 tsp salt
- 1 c superfine sugar
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 2 tsp cider vinegar
- 1 12 c heavy cream
- strawberries
- chocolate sauce
Directions
- Butter and flour baking sheet
- Heat oven to 300
- Beat whites and salt until soft peaks form
- Beat in sugar one tablespoon at a time beating thoroughly after each addition until smooth and glossy
- Stir cornstarch and vinegar together in small bowl until smooth
- Fold into egg whites until blended
- Scoop whites onto center of baking sheet
- Spread smoothly forming a circle approximately 8-inch diameter with a slight well in the center Put on center rack in oven
- Reduce heat to 250 until outside is firm and tan
- Cool on wire rack 15 minutes
- Remove from sheet Whip cream with a little sugar
- Fill center with berries and cream
- Cover with whipped cream and decorate with strawberries Drizzle with chocolate sauce
