Ingredients
- 4 egg whites
- 12 tsp salt
- 1 c sugar
- cornstarch
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 2 tsp vinegar
- 3 to 4 c fruit bananas pineapple strawberries kiwi andor passion fruit
- heavy whipped cream
Directions
- Preheat oven to 300
- Grease an 8-inch round cake pan
- Cover bottom with circle of wax paper
- Grease paper and dust lightly with cornstarch
- Beat the egg whites in a large bowl until foamy Add the salt
- Beat until stiff
- Gradually add the sugar beating well after each addition
- When whites are glossy combine 2 teaspoons cornstarch with the vinegar and fold into whites
- Spoon mixture into cake pan and smooth it towards edges
- Hollow out center slightly
- Place pan in oven and reduce temperature to 250 Bake for 1 14 hours
- Remove
- Let cool
- Remove and place it on a serving dish
- Drain all fruit and spoon on top
- Cover with whipped cream and serve
